Primary function of position

The Clinical Territory Associate works closely with the Clinical Sales Manager to gain knowledge in all aspects of the Da Vinci activity to include technical, clinical, and sales. He or she will train to be a da Vinci surgery technical and sales expert across all primary surgical specialties, supporting clinical team members in developing surgical robotics programs in the assigned territory.

Roles and responsibilities

  • During the first period after dCAST, the CTA will focus on the technical and clinical aspect of the da Vinci. Then after, the CTA will be guided to the sales activity
  • Work with the da Vinci Clinical Sales Manager in developing a work plan tailored to the local market.
  • Product demonstrations – Lead all technical in-services demonstrations for customers, to include OR staff, surgeons and supporting staff
  • Selling activities – contribute to Clinical Sales Manager team quarterly sales goals by helping influence behavior change in customers such as product demonstrations/in- services, OR selling activities, and customer support trainings
  • Drive training activities by formal presentations
  • Case support – be a resource to the surgical team, providing guidance and insight on the use of the da Vinci surgical system
  • Lead surgical teams through training sessions, helping them understand system operations, OR integration and da Vinci surgery applications
  • Responsibly manage administrative tasks; reporting of sales/procedures, outcomes of sales activities, submission of expense reports, etc.

Required knowledqe, skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 3 years sales experience or 2 years leadership experience
  • Experience with medical devices is an advantage
  • Fluent in English and Czech and/or Slovak is required
  • Ambition and strong work ethic
  • Ability to excel in high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and persuasive communication skills
