The publicly listed supplier of advanced medical solutions has extended its cooperation agreement with the American company Intuitive. Pursuant to this agreement Synektik SA and Synektik Czech Republic, s.r.o. will be the sole distributors of the innovative da Vinci systems in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia until at least 31 December 2029.
The Synektik Group, which has been collaborating with Intuitive since 2018 is one of the most effective distributors of the da Vinci systems and promulgators of surgical robotic technologies. In just the current financial year (which began on 1 October 2023) the Group has supplied 20 da Vinci robots to clients in Poland and the Czech Republic, thereby growing the number of systems under its care to 77. The parties have elected to extend their binding distribution agreement until the end of 2029 with extensive lead time as part of the effort to tighten their collaboration.

The American company’s recognition has been demonstrated through the many distinctions conferred on Synektik as one of Intuitive’s best, and ultimately in 2024, its best distributor, and also through business decisions to cement our relationship, which is particularly important. The extension of this agreement gives us comfort in pursuing our long-term strategy of regional expansion”, remarks Cezary Kozanecki, Founder and President of the Management Board of Synektik.
The public company’s CEO highlights that the robotic surgery segment in Poland and in Poland’s southern neighbors is blooming dynamically. In just the past quarter in Poland, nearly 3 thousand surgical procedures were performed using da Vinci (106% growth yoy), while nearly 2.7 thousand procedures were performed in the Czech Republic and Slovakia (39% growth yoy). At the same time, the Group has steadily developed its portfolio in surgical robotics. In May of this year, it signed an agreement with Medical Microinstruments and it became the sole distributor of Symani robotic systems for microsurgery and super microsurgery in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Baltic States. In this manner Symani robots became an important supplement to Synektik’s offering in medical robotics.
