The Polish healthcare system is poised for a significant transformation. Two leading technology companies, Synektik and Carebot, have announced a strategic partnership with the potential to save a significant number of lives annually. Together, they are bringing artificial intelligence (AI) directly into hospitals to assist physicians in faster and more accurate diagnosis of lung diseases, including lung cancer – one of the most common and serious diseases worldwide. At the same time, the long-term ambition of both companies is to achieve the widespread unification of access to top-tier diagnostic tools across all Polish hospitals.
Synektik and Carebot seamlessly integrate their technologies into a unified system. While Carebot’s AI analyzes X-ray images, detects pathological findings, and generates medical reports, Synektik ensures its smooth implementation within hospital systems and clinical workflows. This synergy creates an efficient diagnostic platform that combines advanced image analysis with clinical practice, accelerating image evaluation and enhancing the accuracy of lung disease detection. “For us at Synektik, it’s crucial that doctors have access to the most advanced diagnostic tools. Collaboration with Carebot is a welcome development – it will enable us to provide physicians with AI assistance that saves time and increases accuracy” says founder and President of Synektik Group Cezary Kozanecki. The partnership was announced at the European Congress of Radiology, the most significant gathering of experts in medical imaging.
AI is Changing the Game in Diagnostics
Each year, more than 20 million chest X-ray examinations are performed in Poland. These images are often the first step in detecting serious lung diseases, but their evaluation burdens radiologists and increases the risk of missing vital information. With Carebot’s AI, physicians will be able to assess images more quickly and accurately, thereby saving more lives.
“Carebot is not just another AI tool, it’s a system that is already helping doctors in five European countries. It can recognize pathological findings on X-ray images, highlight their location, and automatically generate medical reports. With its help, we can help to detect lung cancer, for example, at its very early stage. In such cases, the patient’s chance of surviving the first year is over 87%. In the fourth stage, however, it drops to less than 19%” explains Managing Director and founder of Carebot Matěj Misař.
AI as a Standard Part of Healthcare
The ambition of both companies is not only to modernize Polish hospitals but also to bridge the gap between large urban clinics and smaller regional healthcare facilities. With AI technology, doctors in smaller hospitals will have access to the same advanced diagnostic tools as their colleagues in top university centers.
“AI already helps detect findings that the human eye might miss. This increases the success rate of early lung cancer detection, which is crucial for patients – the earlier the disease is detected, the higher the chance of successful treatment,” says Vice President of Synektik Dariusz Korecki.
“Carebot is the most widely used AI solution in Central Europe, so it’s natural for us to partner with Polish market leaders in the field. We are also working on a pilot programme with leading pharmaceutical company Bristol Myers Squibb, which could be a game-changer in the early detection of this insidious disease. I believe we can easily expand the programme to Poland as well,” adds CEO and founder of Carebot Daniel Kvak.
The Future is Here: AI Saves Lives
“The technologies we are implementing not only improve the quality of healthcare but also help doctors be more efficient and focus on what matters most—the patients. AI can significantly contribute to better treatment outcomes and save many lives. We can clearly see the expansion of AI in healthcare across Europe, which is why we have partnered with a strong player already utilized by most Czech and Slovak hospitals,” concludes Cezary Kozanecki.
This partnership further confirms that artificial intelligence is becoming a standard part of healthcare. In Poland, as in other European countries where Carebot already operate, a new era of medicine is opening—more precise, more efficient, and accessible to all patients.
Polish hospitals are thus moving to the forefront of modern healthcare—with technology that truly saves lives.
About Carebot, The Czech Republic
Carebot is a Czech company specializing in the development of artificial intelligence for X-ray image analysis. The Carebot AI CXR system integrates seamlessly into existing hospital systems routinely used by physicians and instantly alerts on potential findings. It can detect both urgent and long-term findings, significantly reducing the time needed to identify serious conditions such as lung cancer. Carebot also automatically generates initial medical reports that can be further edited by healthcare professionals, simplifying their work and saving time. Carebot’s technology is currently being implemented in dozens of hospitals in several European countries, and the company is working to extend its detection capabilities to include musculoskeletal X-ray and screening mammography.
