– Supervision of the banking sector, capital market, insurance and pension market, supervision of payment institutions and payment service offices, electronic money institutions and the cooperative sector

– Undertaking the activities aimed at the proper functioning of the financial, insurance and pension market

– Undertaking the activities aimed at developing the financial market and its competitiveness

– Undertaking the educational and informational activities related to the functioning of the financial market

– Participation in the preparation of legal acts drafts in the field of supervision of the financial, insurance and pension markets

– Creating opportunities for amicable and conciliatory disputes settlement between financial market participants, in particular disputes arising from contractual relations between entities subject to the supervision of the Commission and recipients of services provided by these entities

Warsaw Stock Exchange

An institution that organizes trading in financial instruments. It ensures concentration of sellers’ and buyers’ offers in one place and time in order to set the price and execute the transaction. A characteristic feature of the trading system in force on the Warsaw Stock Exchange is the fact that the prices of individual financial instruments are set based on sellers’ and buyers’ orders.

ASEI

The Association of Stock Exchange Issuers

The Association of Stock Exchange Issuers is a self-governing issuers organization, with a membership that is voluntary.  Ordinary Members of the Association are presidents, Board Members of listed companies, while the companies themselves, as legal persons, have the status of Supporting Members. Statutory activities are financed from membership fees.

The aim of the Association is to provide support to companies in the informational respect (providing information on legislative changes as early as possible, often long before the adoption of the regulations), educational aspect (organising seminars and conferences) as well as legal aspect (developing legal opinions, recommendations and interpretations regarding new regulations).

More about the Association

The Association undertakes work for the development of the capital market, through educational, promotional and lobbying activities. It works for the integration of the securities issuers’ community, undertaking the organization of trainings, seminars; represents the common interest of this group of entities.

The basis of the Association work is conveying to the market regulators the expectations of issuers with regards to the improvement of the functioning of the securities market.  Additionally it is also to formulate proposals for changes in legal regulations that increase the attractiveness of the stock exchange as a place for economic entities to obtain capital.

The largest investor organization in Poland. The Association undertakes a number of activities aimed at protecting and helping investors, including interventions in capital market institutions, authorities and the media on behalf and in the interests of investors.

The purpose of the Association

The Association educates investors in order to increase their investment efficiency by organizing numerous training courses and conferences. The meetings organized by the Association are in many cases the largest events of this type in Poland.
