On 22nd and 23rd of January 2025, the first official presentation of da Vinci system in Latvia, took place in Riga. Synektik is the exclusive distributor of da Vinci robotic surgery system in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and, more recently, the Baltic States.
On the first day, workshops were organised during which there was an opportunity to test the system in person, and on the second day, specialists from Europe talked about their experiences in implementing robotic surgery.
The conference was attended by the Minister of Health, Hosams Abu Meri, who after seeing da Vinci system, held a preliminary discussion on the planned implementation of robotic surgery in Latvia.
Participants expressed the hope that patients could also soon be operated in Latvia using robotic surgery.
