The public radiopharmaceuticals producer and supplier of advanced medical solutions has set even more records. In the last 12 months of the 2023 financial year (October 2023 – September 2024) the Synektik Group grew sales by nearly 40% to PLN 624.8 million while earning a normalized EBITDA of PLN 146.3 million (50% growth yoy). The Group wrapped up the final quarter of the year with revenue of PLN 141.8 million (PLN 135.7 million last year) and 11% growth in normalized EBITDA coming in at PLN 35.2 million.
The segment consisting of supplying medical equipment and IT solutions and providing maintenance and measurement services posted revenue of PLN 129.1 million in the last quarter of 2023 generating EBITDA of PLN 35.7 million (5% growth yoy). In the last 12 months of the 2023 financial year the segment’s revenue totaled PLN 579.7 million (41% growth yoy net of intragroup transactions) while normalized EBITDA shot up 45% to almost PLN 144 million.
The radiopharmaceuticals segment finalized the past quarter with 28% sales growth posting PLN 12.7 million (net of intragroup transactions), generating nearly PLN 4.4 million in EBITDA (30% growth). In the last 12 months of the past financial year the segment’s revenue rose by almost 24% to PLN 45.1 million while EBITDA climbed 45% to PLN 16.3 million.

The past financial year in the Synektik Group witnessed ongoing dynamic growth in recurring revenue in both segments achieved by delivering products and services as part of long-term contracts. The Group’s recurring revenue skyrocketed 69% to PLN 207.4 million in the last 12 months of the 2023 financial year. The rapid development of surgical robotics in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia generating demand for instruments and consumable accessories in the da Vinci robotic systems under the Group’s care was a significant driver of the growth in the Group’s recurring revenue. In the last four quarters in Poland, more than 11.8 thousand surgical procedures were performed in total using da Vinci systems (100% growth yoy), while more than 9.4 thousand procedures were performed in the Czech Republic and Slovakia (36% growth yoy).
In the past financial year the Group delivered 27 da Vinci systems to clients in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, thereby increasing the number of robots under the Group’s care. Dariusz Korecki, the Vice-President of Synektik highlights that the popularization of medical robotics is not slowing down, thereby opening up new business opportunities to the Synektik Group. “We are participating in a qualitative revolution in many areas of health care related to the implementation of robotic technologies. From year to year an ever larger community of patients in our part of the globe is being afforded the chance to take advantage of more effective therapy and faster and more effective convalescence thanks the usage of robots in surgical procedures. Not only is the number of systems operated by hospitals on the rise, the circle of highly qualified surgeons and the utilization of robots are also expanding. In our opinion, we are still in the initial phase of this qualitative transformation. As the Synektik Group we intend to continue pursuing this process by bringing more advanced solutions to the market”, remarks Dariusz Korecki. In recent months the Group has expanded its product offering to include Symani robotic systems for microsurgery and super microsurgery becoming their sole distributor in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Latvia, Latvia and Estonia while tightening its partnership with the producer of the da Vinci systems by extending the cooperation agreement until at least the end of the decade and enlarging its geographic catchment area to cover the Baltic States. The Group is also the sole distributor in Poland of systems for mammography and biopsy producer by Hologic, the global leader in women’s health.
