The Synektik Group becomes Hologic’s distributor in Poland

The supplier of innovative medicine solutions listed on the stock exchange has signed an agreement with US-based Hologic specializing in advanced diagnostic technologies on the exclusive distribution of its products in Poland. The Synektik Group will be responsible for the sale and maintenance of diagnostic equipment for mammography and biopsy and for the sale of instruments and accessories.

Hologic is a global leader in women’s health protection. It is a pioneer in developing digital mammography systems, including innovative 3D tomosynthesis which substantially enhances the exactitude of breast cancer detection, mitigating false results. Thanks to its more than 30 years of experience Hologic is constantly elevating the standards in imaging diagnostics by delivering solutions that enhance patients’ comfort and diagnostic precision.

The agreement between the Synektik Group and Hologic has been concluded for three years. As Cezary Kozanecki, founder and President of the Management Board of the company listed on the stock exchange emphasizes, this partnership with the US-based company will make it possible to strengthen the Group’s product portfolio materially in diagnostics and therapy of women’s disorders. “Hologic is a technology leader in the diagnostics of breast tumors and its solutions are widely employed in clinics and hospitals across the world. By investing in research and development Hologic has continuously marketed innovative products that frequently revolutionize women’s health care. Partnership with Hologic perfectly fits the Synektik Group’s growth strategy. One of its pillars is boldly investing in the implementation of technologically advanced solutions in Polish health care”, remarks Cezary Kozanecki.

Breast cancer is the most frequent malignant tumor among women in Poland. It is responsible for nearly one-fourth of all tumorous diseases in women. The incidence of breast cancer in Poland is lower than in developed countries; however, the percentage of illnesses diagnosed at an advanced stage of disease is higher, which translates into a higher mortality rate. As part of the early breast cancer detection program administered by the Ministry of Health, women aged 45-74 can take advantage of free-of-charge tests performed once every two years.

Breast cancer statistics in Poland clearly demonstrate the need for diagnosing this disease. It is worth placing emphasis on increasing accessibility to tests and intensifying social education and promoting mammography screening programs. Thanks to the accessibility of technologically advanced diagnostic equipment, it is currently possible to detect a disease at an early stage of development, which greatly increases the chances of female patients’ full cure. As the Synektik Group we would like to make our contribution to promoting modern solutions in this area and educating the overall society on how important it is to engage in regular diagnostics concerning this tumor”, advises Cezary Kozanecki.
