The Synektik Group acquired a 100% equity stake in IT4KAN Sp. z o.o., which implements and integrates IT systems in the medical industry and is a distributor of medical equipment. Combining the competences of Synektik and IT4KAN in the development and implementation of specialized systems for the rapidly growing field of imaging diagnostics will lend substantial support to the IT and service area of the Synektik Group’s business and for the development of the Zbadani.pl platform.
IT4KAN was established in 2014 in Katowice. It is one of the major suppliers of PACS solutions (picture archiving and communication systems) with a substantial client base in Poland. Among other things, it has developed proprietary software for providers of imaging diagnostics, and it also renders support and maintenance services for IT systems and infrastructure in treatment centers. By buying IT4KAN the Synektik Group is strengthening its position among the market leaders offering IT solutions in imaging diagnostics – with more than 240 centers using the Group’s services. At the same time, the Synektik Group plans to leverage the most advanced technology based on artificial intelligence to streamline and accelerate the diagnostic process for its current and future clients.
One of the most valuable assets of the IT company acquired by the Group is the approximately 20-person strong team of seasoned IT experts. Krzysztof Bogdański, CEO of IT4KAN will head up the Group’s IT business as its Managing Director, while Rafał Dunal, the Vice-President of this IT company will be responsible for the sales and development of new and current projects, including the Zbadani.pl platform.
