The publicly listed provider and manufacturer of advanced medical technologies has signed an agreement for the delivery of a da Vinci robotic surgical system to the Hospital of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kauno Klinikos. This is Synektik Group’s first contract for the supply of medical equipment to the Baltic States, and the da Vinci system to be delivered to the Lithuanian hospital will be the first robotic surgical system deployed by the Group in the region. The value of the agreement amounts to EUR 5.46 million net.
The agreement with the Hospital of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kauno Klinikos covers the delivery of the da Vinci robotic surgical system together with medical personnel training and maintenance services, as well as the recurring supply of consumables over a period of five years. The hospital in Kaunas is the largest hospital in Lithuania and one of the leading academic medical centres in this part of Europe, recognised for its use of advanced medical technologies and innovative treatment methods. The system purchased by the hospital will be used across several surgical specialties, including urology, gynaecology, otolaryngology, thoracic surgery, general surgery and paediatric surgery.

Synektik Group has been conducting operational activities in Lithuania and Latvia since 2025, and in 2026 commenced operations in Estonia. As part of its educational activities supporting the development of the robotic surgery market and the promotion of the solutions offered by the Group in the region, the first procedures using the da Vinci system were performed in Riga in May 2026 in cooperation between Synektik and the Fryderyk Chopin University Clinical Hospital in Rzeszów, inaugurating the robotic surgery programme for the Baltic States.
The CEO of Synektik assesses the Group’s growth potential in the region very positively. – Each of these countries has its own characteristics, but they are certainly united by their determination to improve the quality of healthcare, the openness of both the medical community and decision-making bodies to innovative technologies, and their positive attitude towards technological innovation. At the same time, the cancer epidemic is one of the most serious challenges facing Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. With a combined population exceeding six million, around 36,000 new cancer cases are diagnosed every year, while treatment outcomes remain significantly below the European Union average. We have the potential to complete as many as five da Vinci system installations in the region over the coming quarters, which should provide a solid foundation for the dynamic development of the market in the years ahead – adds Cezary Kozanecki.
International expansion in the medical equipment business is one of Synektik’s strategic priorities. In addition to the Baltic States, the Group has been present in the Czech and Slovak markets since 2022 and is currently preparing to commence operational activities in Ukraine. Within the next few months, Synektik will be supplying medical equipment in markets with a combined population of more than 90 million people, representing approximately 20% of the total population of the European Union.

The regional growth potential in robotic surgery alone is well illustrated by the Polish market. In 2025, 21,000 robotic-assisted surgical procedures were performed in Poland, compared with more than 340,000 procedures that could potentially have been carried out using this technology. Taking into account the therapeutic needs and systemic challenges in the CEE region, with the shortage of medical personnel further exacerbated by demographic and migration-related trends, technological transformation based on robotics, automation and the implementation of artificial intelligence solutions is becoming a necessity – comments said Dariusz Korecki, Vice President of the Management Board and CFO of Synektik SA.
Synektik Group continues to systematically expand its product offering across all markets in which it operates, including by extending the geographical scope of its existing distribution agreements and consistently building awareness of the competitive advantages of the solutions it offers. As part of the expanded scope of cooperation with the Israeli company Insightec, Synektik Group signed an agreement a few days ago for the delivery of an Exablate Neuro system to a medical centre in Nitra, Slovakia. The system is intended for non-invasive neurosurgery using MR-guided Focused Ultrasound (MRgFUS) technology for the treatment of essential tremor and tremor associated with Parkinson’s disease.
